Membership Eligibility
Boyne Valley Farmers Co-Op is open to active farmers operating in the Boyne Valley region of Ireland. Our membership criteria include:
Operating a farming enterprise in the Boyne Valley area
Commitment to purchasing through negotiated co-op agreements
Willingness to participate in cooperative decision-making
Good standing in the farming community
The Application Process
Get in Touch
Contact us through our contact form or call us directly to express your interest in membership. We'll be happy to answer any initial questions you may have.
Submit Application
Complete a membership application form providing details about your farming operation, including:

- •Type of farming enterprise
- •Anticipated purchasing categories
- •Contact information
Review & Approval
Your application will be reviewed by the co-op committee. This process typically takes 2-3 weeks. We may arrange a brief meeting or phone call to discuss your application and answer any questions.
Membership Share
Upon approval, you'll be asked to purchase a membership share in the cooperative. This one-time investment represents your stake in the co-op and entitles you to full membership benefits and voting rights.
Welcome & Orientation
New members receive a comprehensive orientation package including:
Current supplier agreements and pricing
Contact details for all negotiated suppliers
Member login credentials for online resources
Co-op bylaws and operating procedures
Meeting schedules and communication channels
Membership Fees
One-Time Share Purchase
New members purchase a share in the cooperative, which represents ownership stake and voting rights. This share is refundable should you choose to leave the co-op.
Annual Administration Fee
A modest annual fee covers the operational costs of running the co-op, including tender management, administration, and communications. This fee is typically offset many times over by the savings achieved through collective purchasing.
No Hidden Costs
That's it! There are no transaction fees, commission charges, or other hidden costs. You pay suppliers directly at the negotiated rates.
